Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Queens) thinks the NYPD union endorsement of President Trump is inappropriate.
“NYPD union endorsed Trump. I’m sure this is part of their neighborhood outreach plan,” she said. “Also, does anyone else see a potential problem with police unions — enforcement arms of the state with lethal weapons — promoting ‘preferred’ candidates for office or is that just me?”

In his announcement Friday, union boss Pat Lynch acknowledged it was almost unheard of for the PBA to endorse for President of the United States, but said current circumstances required it, New York Post reported.
“I have 36 years on this job … I cannot remember when we have ever endorsed for the office of President of the United States until now,” Lynch said to cheers from his ranks. “That’s how important this is, Mr. President, we’re fighting for our lives out there. We don’t want this to spread to the rest of the country. We need your strong voice across the country.”
